Agile in the Financial Industry
Hi - has anyone ever used Agile methodologies in non-software development arenas? Specifically in the financial industry? I haven't been able to find a whole lot out there about using agile outside of development, so any advice is appreciated!

Interesting idea. We are a software company that uses Agile and Scrum techniques in all areas of our business - specifically marketing. As new marketing projects arise, and tasks and team coordination is needed, we use a task board, standup meetings and sometimes pairing to make sure goals are accomplised in the most efficient way. I really believe Agile could be used in a variety of business settings similar to Six Sigma or any process improvement method. Area's where Agile could be most helpful include project based industries.

Thanks for the input Katie! I probably also need to look into Six Sigma ideologies now that I think about it.
