Which tools support the following agile features?

Hi folks,

I am in search of a tool which provides the following features:

The requirement is to have one Tool for both “General project management and Agile project management”

The tool should support the following:
1. Active directory integration for login
2. Maintaining various projects and resources allocation
3. Resource utilization report
4. Higher level dash boards for top management team
5. Lower level dash boards for each team level
6. Process flow automation from Stories open to Done state
7. Timesheet integration to PeopleSoft
8. Integration to Continuous Integration tool for reports and others

Hi Vikas

It sounds to me like you're looking for a rather large and complex system there, which would introduce a load of processes and tools for people working within your agile environment. Remember that one of the key agile manifestos is people over process, so I would certainly advocate that you consider keeping your tools simple and effective and using real world interaction and communication where possible.

I am obviously slightly biased as I have been instrumental in developing a product which is meant to aid Agile processes as opposed to replace them, so we've intentionally made the product brilliant at one thing (backlog management) and not try and do everything in between.

Thank you for the response and the sound advice. But as of now we need a tool which takes care of all/ most of the above features. Please guide me as to which could be the most appropriate tool that i could use.

Hi,

I have used 2-3 agile project management tools available in market, but the best I have come across so for has been 'Microsoft Team Foundation Server - TFS'. Apart from point 7 which I am not too sure off, the other features are all avilable in the tool. Apart from that this provides with additional features which you might find handy and useful.

I believe with the customizations available point 7 can also be achieved.

Having said that - I personally think that extensive use of these sort of tools in 'Agile Development' might overexpose the team and individual level performance to higher management. This might have negative effect on the team. Just a concern....
